My name is Marek and I started ITBox Computer Services in 2012. Initially solving simple computer issues and problems relating to Windows and Apple machines, both in people’s homes and in local offices in North London. Crouch End. Harringay. Stroud Green. Hornsey. Wood Green. Muswell Hill.

I’ve been in the UK for 17 years now, and I made a decision to make a career change about 10 years ago.  I’d worked previously in administration and surveying, but I wanted to retrain and to work for myself.

In the beginning I went from door to door leafleting. Slowly I began building up local experience repairing and sorting out people’s computer problems. As time went on, I started to build up a loyal customer base. I have been referred onwards by many of my clients to their colleagues, friends and neighbours.

Over these years I have visited hundreds of local homes, offices and business premises, always trying my very best to leave satisfied clients. I have found that, as information technology constantly evolves, I need to be able to help people in new ways and with new problems.  I have needed to dedicate time and energy to learning and studying new developments, a fascinating ongoing process.  

When I started out for example, I knew very little about Apple-based systems. I thought they might be mysterious or more complicated than others. But as they have become more and more widely used, I have taken the time to make sure I understand their specific qualities and peculiarities.

Now, a significant number of my clients rely on Apple-based systems. I feel really comfortable and confident that I can sort out problems with Apple systems, and their connections with Windows systems. From the beginning I wanted to be useful to my local community. To make a place for myself within the community. With people coming to rely upon me to help them with their IT problems.

Now my clients in the local area are numerous, not just individual clients but local offices, small businesses and even growing businesses who need help as they expand. I am based locally (I live in Harringay on the ladder). I can usually pop round to deal with problems quickly. My diary is always flexible to help out my clients
